Frequently Asked Questions
Q - Why we don’t to offer a mobile
service to inspect vehicles at the vendors premises?
A - In order for our technicians
to fully inspect the under portion of the vehicle, the suspension,
the exhaust, the brake pipes and hoses to name just a few items, the
vehicle needs to be up on hoist to give us total access to all the
sections that to be inspected. The total time you are paying for is
devoted to the inspection and not a technicians wasted time driving
around Sydney to get to the vendor.
Q - Why do we need the vehicle for 4 to
5 hours?
A -The cost of the inspection is
directly related to the time we invest in examining your vehicle.
Firstly we do a diagnostic drivability test this can take up to 20
minutes, this includes travelling over various types of surfaces and
inclines. There after we raise the vehicle up on a hoist for the
item by item inspection.
Q - How soon will I get a report?
A - On the day of the inspection
we will give you both a verbal report and an interpretation of the
report. Should you have an email address we will email you a copy of
the report by the end of business that day.
Q - Will the motor dealer agree to
bring the vehicle to us for inspection?
A - The higher the cost of the
vehicle the more important it is for you to know what the actual
condition of the vehicle is that you are considering buying. If the
dealer is keen on selling the car and believes that it is in good
condition he will organise to bring it to us.
Should the dealer undertake to fix any defects we have found we will
re-inspect the reported defects at a reduced price.
Q - Why does cost of the inspection
vary from vehicle to vehicle?
A - Once again the cost of the
inspection is directly related to the time we spend examining the
vehicle. From experience we know the time we need to invest in
different vehicles in order to give you a meaningful report.
Q - With whom do you share the
examination report?
A - The person who pays for the
examination owns the intellectual information. Where the purchaser
pays the information the report is given to them alone. Should the
purchaser choose to share the information with the vendor in order
to achieve a lower purchase price this is the purchaser choice. We
will not under any circumstances have any discussions with the
vendor about the vehicle.
